LT1 ECM with crank trigger on earlier motor?

I am considering using a OBD-II LT1 ECM on an earlier motor.

Does anyone know if the LT1 ECM can accept a crank trigger input instead of a Opti signal? Any info on what is involved there is appreciated.

I would expect the rest of the signals - MAP, TPS, IAT, coolant temp, O2 are pretty straightforward.

Goal would be to run a Gen1 sbc with a miniRam intake and crank trigger for ignition.

A related question - I assume a LT1 style throttle body would work OK in this application? The rest of the sensors could be LT1 units and fit fine on a Gen1 motor.

Anything else I am missing?
