      Ordered TKO 600 today

I ordered a TKO 600 kit from Jeff at Classic Chevy 5-speed today. They really have great customer service ! I will keep everyone posted on the installation and progress.

You sold the 4 speed, Jeff? That was quick. I am so jealous!

I met Jeff and his business partner Scott at their new location in Carlsbad, CA. Man, you should of seen all the TKOs and T-56 trannys just sitting there in the warehouse. I couldn't convince them to give me a tranny to try out on my '67 Camaro. Anyways, I bought a used TKO 500 from a fellow pro-touring member and needed some parts. Classic Chevy 5speed had the parts I need in stock. Good excuse to take the Camaro out for a spin.

I got my TKO 600 from Jeff as well. I bought the whole kit and it went in great. I still have not got to drive it yet because the body is getting finished. Its killing me to wait but hopefully before the summer is over I can hit the street.

I'd just like to take this opportunity to say that I hadn't heard of CC5S when I needed a new tranny...so I ordered my TKO500 from kiesler engineering. It took me 3 months of badgering and countless returns and exchanged parts to get everything I actually needed to put mine in.

Don't waste your time with kiesler if anyone out there is on the fence. Go with Classic chevy.

I got mine from Darkhorse and they were decent to deal with and all but if I had it to do over again, Classic Chevy would get my business in a hearbeat.....

Got mine from Classic, too. I've had the tranny for about a year now and it's still in the box. I sure hope it works right the first time since the warranty will run out before I even put fluid in the case. The car won't be done for another 6-10 months! I will also say, though, that I dealt with Jeff and he was absolutely great! Took the time to talk about my car...tell me the advantages and disadvantages of each, the T56 and TKO...Great guy... I just ordered the Mcleod offset shifter off of them as-well. If all of the venders would just treat customers as good as Classic does we'd have it made.

Jeff will take care of you on that warranty. I asked him about that since it was going to be a while before I was able to get it running. He said no problem. I just kept him posted on the progress of the build and I feel sure that if I had a problem he would have helped me out. But everything went perfectly and the tranny is the best thing I have ever done to my car. It makes my 600 hp purr like a kitten cruising 80 down the interstate.

Hey ! I got the transmission 5 days after ordering. Everything looks great. I am doing the engine and Guldstrand mod at the same time, so it will be awhile before the installation. I have to have it done by the September Pro-Touring event in Pigeon Forge.
