Steering box effort
In the mid 90's Lincoln had a switch on the dash of the Town Car that allowed the adjustment of the amount of effort needed to turn the steering wheel. It ranged from low effort to high.
Given the fact that this is a hydraulic steering box just like any other American car, how did they make the steering effort adjustable? Can this technology be adapted to our cars?

on the 90s grand ams i had it was run through the comp as the speed increased the presure went down so the feel was the same at any speed , it was called the feel right effect.
