Clean is mean, but if you PT this wagon more than customizing it, several race venues and some sanctioning bodies (like Silver State) require that you have external door handles for safety reasons.

I'd considered this for my '67 until I learned about the rules...

Also- Look to factory El Camino SS tailgates for inspiration. I like the clean-and-mean look, but I've been on the fence about what to do with the tailgate trim on the '67 as well. I may do something with an SS flavor. It's worth investigating to nail the look you're after. I'm shooting for a '60s-era road race style (not as apparent now as it will be..).

The car looks awesome, I think it will be a cool project.

One thing though... that one passenger front wheel looks like its going the wrong way. The other three are right though.

The Plymouth would look cool with a slight chop and some bigger wheels.

.....and it wouldn't hurt to section it either. At the very least, open up the wheel wells a bit.

I had the perfect pro-touring wagon, A 1980 merc zepher wagon, a fox body wagon. any of the fox mustang parts would slip right under it.
But then again wouldn't that be too easy.
I do currently have a station wagon that I am working one but it is more of a sport compact. 2003 Ford Focus ZTW wagon. It is how ever a wagon.
