Photos - Year One Experience 2006

As promised, I snapped a TON of photos at the event. There were tons of pro-touring cars at the show, and I was glad to see several of them doing laps on the track too.

There are even a few pics of the Popular Hotrodding photo shoot of the Detroit Speed '69 Camaro, to show you guys how much effort it takes to produce photos as nice as Hunkins does. Thanks for the photo tips Johnny, your time was appreciated greatly!

      Everyone, enjoy!!!

There were indeed tons of Pro-touring cars this year. Last year, there were only a handful.

For those that didn't attend, the indoor pics from IMG_508 and higher were from some guy's GARAGE on his property. Amazing stuff, it was like Disneyland for car enthusiasts.

      Like always, great pics Tony.
I giggled like a little school boy when I saw this pic. I still have never seen one of these in real life yet. I would love to see one some day. http://www.ls1tech.com/Events/YearOn...s/IMG_1317.htm

I don't know his name, but I met him at his first show last year. He said he built it by hand in his garage. He is a body man, though.

i freaked the first time I saw one too. Then i saw the hood, and the magic was gone.

That hood is wrong. WRONG!!! fix it Unique. You're charging enough.

compare, hood pin location and the peak of the hood bump.

I mean, if i'm paying 80+ grand, it should be a clone, not close.
      /just saying.

ok. i don't like it. The top doesn't work.

however, the real question is, Is this a pro-touring car or not?
The answer to this question will answer the question weather bob's SN65 is also. The concept is the same for both cars.

We were talking about that 69 Camaro somewhere on this forum and I cant find it now. These pics answer my question about it. I was wondering if it had 4th gen interior and it does. Windshield, doors, T-Tops, and rear hatch window. I respect him for trying it. There is a crap load of fabrication involved in that. I had thought about doing the T-tops with the 4th gen interior but I stopped at just doing the interior because I just couldnt get myself to do it. I ddint think it would look right.

It is a 2002 (I believe) or a 2000, that he grafted the 69 body panels to. Definitely a lot of work.

Johnny was the pervert of the weekend and didn't mind flaunting it! If he saw a girl, he was all "I'm a famous photographer, can I take your picture, little girl?" I guess that's why I followed him around......

i think that in a kit would be cool, like those corvette kits to make a new one look like 53

with the 69 camaro boom, they should sell good,i would build acouple to sell, best of both worlds.cheaper and faster.
