      Swapping a 454 out for a 572 - what will interchange?

My Dad has is going to purchase a GM 572ci/620hp for his '71 Nova, but he wants to try and swap it to my '70 so we can break it in during the Power Tour.

What are the major differences block-wise between my GenIV 454 and the 572 (tall deck)? I'd like this to be a drop-in swap utilizing my existing TKO 5-speed, headers, starter, etc., but I'm pretty sure most of that stuff is not interchangeable.

      Thanks!

Thanks, so the 572 is externally balanced like my 454?? I'm concerned about the flywheel/pressure plate/clutch being a direct swap.

      Headers

Headman headers just came out with a header for the 572 engine . Don't know if it fits a Nova but I know there making them for the Camaro 68-69 . PART# 65576-6 for the coated ones
