      64 Riviera with Buick Turbo6

Howdy,I decided since I kept trying to search the site for ideas on setting up my '64 Riviera as a semi-Pro Touring car that I might as well join.I have a '64 Riviera that I swapped a 4.1L production block based Buick Turbo6 into with a full forged rotating assembly, custom pistons, CNC ported heads, Comp roller cam and T&D roller rockers. As you can imagine this took a lot of work and having a family and being Active Duty military, it's taken me 7yrs to get it done. I'm still working on geting the leaks and bugs ironed out of the engine and temp SP400 transmission but I'm about to give up on the 3spd and swap for a 4L80E that I have sitting around. Hope to get a lot of good info on either optimizing what I've got for the front suspension or swapping to something else. Already working on putting a set of 12in discs in the front with 4 piston Nissan R32 Skyline calipers, just need to find some 15in steelies that will clear the calipers and work with the very small back spacing requirements.See Ya'll around!

Wow! Love these cars and would love to see pics. They are heavy, unique, and not optimal for performance. So I am anxious to see how you've done things!

I'll work on the pictures at some point in the future. It's an amazingly tight squeeze since the Nailhead was a very narrow V8 and the Turbo6 is actually nearlly BBC wide. I work on this solo in my limited spare time so pictures take backseat to getting work done.

There are a few videos on YouTube of when I started for the first time and ran into oil pressure troubles back in 2010 and when I got most of the engine issues fixed and actually drove it this summer. Search CTXSLPR and enjoy, oh yeah, there are also videos of my son who rightfully gets far more of my time!
