for even bringing it up. They should have let the vette R.I.P. instead of "saving" it.

Sorry rocketman, but I have to disagree. Some buddies and I went to see it when it first came out in the theaters. We were all chokeing on our popcorn and blowing pop out our noses when we first saw the 'Vette. Even in our impaired state it was all we could do to stop from throwing up . Mind you, it's nothing that can't be fixed with five-gallons-of-gas-and-a-match-in-an-empty-field.

Yes its ugly very , but in a generation our kids might be posting pictures of our cars and laughing at them.
There are some aftermarket hoods and body kits for mustangs and 4th gens that are uglier than this one.

Watched it to see what all the fuss was about. Was somewhat entertaining. How skinny was Annie Potts back then!

My favorite part was when Hammel tells the bad guy with the awesome black firebird, that the corvette he is looking for is way nicer than his car. I about busted a gut laughing. Then at the end I stopped laughing and started crying when the black beauty was rolled and destroyed while the fiberglass wonder speeded away on the final chase/chicken scene. Seems The Fast and Furious took some notes from corvette summer on how to finish a movie by destroying the more valuable car and making car enthusiasts cringe.

Was the Shaker hood/Formula hood combo ever offered on a factory Firebird? In '73 the Formulas came with 2 different hoods. The standard Formula got the dual "Ram Air" hood, while the SD 455 got the Shaker scoop like the TA. I've see a few with the combo that's in Alcino's pic(there was one on Chips(Ponch & Jon), but I figured they were just Ram Air hoods with a Shaker added by the owner.

The difference between an environmentalist and a developer is that a developer wants to build a house in the woods, an environmentalist already has one.

Theres a 94(ish) mustang convertible around here that the guy grafted on a hood like the one off corvette summer. Looks real sharp with his wire wheels.

If you'll excuse me I have to go poke out my eyeballs.
