      Look what I scored!!

This is my non muscle dream car. I am going to bag it and give a fresh coat of paint for the wife. It will be her car.... that is my story and I am sticking to it.

I am going to look at one next week in Ga. Just heard about it this weekend. I am not looking for one, just heard about it, if anyone else wants one.

      Bill,
Where abouts is the '59? I've been wanting one forever. If it's in decent shape I'd be interested.

The difference between an environmentalist and a developer is that a developer wants to build a house in the woods, an environmentalist already has one.

There is a guy, getting old that has a stash of iron in a couple buildings, real close to you. I am going down after Year One and checking everything out. I will get the info for you and some pictures too. I just do not need any more projects right now.

      It is a 60.

I can't wait to tear into it.....Does anyone know if you have to minitub to get 20's to fit in the rear. Lord knows there is enough trunk space....

IF you really want to go over the top, get a new frame from Art Morrison. Build a gforce60.. I would plan a tub job, as you say, plenty of room.

I have a severe soft spot for those x-frame cars. Love the find!!! If you haven't seen them, be sure and check out Tom's pics of his project - http://www.ls1speed.com/59/ - It will make you have bad thoughts.

      I hate you, I hate you, I hate you...nah, just kidding...way too l
But now I may have to move mine to the front of the line in project status. I've had one sitting quietly in the back corner of the garage for 15 years.

      Squat it

When you say squat it do you just mean springs and spindle drop? I agree I do not want to drop a ton of money to do bags but I want it to be somewhat comfortable to drive.

Do you have any idea of the backspacing to get the 20x10 to fit. I have looked all over the internet and I see everyone running 20's but they never supply the backspacing.

Thanks for the nice remarks. I appreciate any info on how to set this up to drop it but maintain drivability.

      Thanks

I'd just do dropped springs...if they make them...if not cut yours (ducking from the non cutters) and get a spare set

On Backspacing someone here should be able to help you...if not call a wheel company...like Billet Specialties...they should be able to help you...On their web site the have a backspacing diagram to help you figure it out yourself...
