Jimbo - I spent most of the day Saturday trying to figure out how to stop the HUGE power steering leak coming from the high pressure line fitting. Paul from Hydratech called me and walked me through the fix and I finally got it done. The car really isn't fully ready to drive, the timing needs to be backed off some to get rid of the spark knock. Do you really want me told help you with your car? Think about it ... the last guy that worked with me almost had his finger chopped off with my expertise, but if you insist.

Rybar - I couldn't resist those mats. $0.88 per ft at Home depot (2 ft per side). With new carpet and new rubber Chevrolet reproduction mats, I needed something I could use to cover up the good stuff while I am driving around and the tear to size carpet runners seemed like the hot ticket. Besides that WAS my BUDGET project.

The power steering would have to stop leaking pretty quick. The resevoir isn't that big!

Jimbo - I have been given visitation rights to the shop. Every other weekend and the third Tuesday of every month. I am not allowed to perform any work and must keep a minimum distance of 3 feet from any given vehicle. I picked up my new air cleaner yesterday and noticed a strange looking vehicle that sort of looked like a blue 69 RS Camaro that was in an unfinished state. Hmmm, guess you did need some help. How did you manage to smooth your firewall with that cardboard and masking tape? I bet Foose or anyone else has yet to stumble upon that new design aspect. I have some extra plywood laying around if your cardboard gets wet.

Looks great. Congratulations!!

One thing though. That air cleaner is no where near large enough to feed a 427. Best to avoid beating on the car until you can fit a full size unit.

Sorry, some of us can't take our cars apart and leave them scattered all over the shop. Seems one bad egg has ruined it for the rest of us. I didn't have time to fab up a cool metal cover that was someone elses idea, before it was time to go.
