Quick question that may help me in my tire width decision. How much of a performance difference is there between 335 and 295 wide tire? I'm talking in a road race/canyon carver enviroment.

Well I must make a correction. according to the Chevrolet web site. the regular corvette runs a 285 rear tire and the ZO6 runs a 325. Chevy thought with 500 hp it needed the tire. I wonder what the skid pad difference is in testing.

Oh and I thought we were not going to try for SEMA. That would be something good to know now..... not in september.

      Ironworks =

Rodger, I think you been doing too much of this!

Just kidding! I said we would like to TRY and make it to SEMA!

Do you or can anyone else tell me the performance difference of the two tire sizes? Fabricator thinks I should go 335. I'm leaning more towards 295.

After much deliberation I guess I have made a decision on the whole tire width issue. Rodger Lee pointed out to me that the Z06 makes 500+ hp and runs with 325's in the back. GM must have felt the need to have that much rubber in the back to handle the horses. Can't argue with that logic so we're going with it! I can always go down in width if I get the urge to later on.

I like the project. That body style has never gone out of style. SEMA 2007, it takes lots of money and time. These projects have a way of hitting highs and lows. Take your time and get it right. Looking good!

      Otra!

Movin' right along with suspension mockup!

Fabricator wants to call the car "Z06 Nova" and cut a plate to see how it looks! What do you think? I'm thinking maybe to name it "Evil Spirit"!

      Another shot of the mockup!

      Uno Mas!
