      Wheel size

I have a 69 camaro and am looking to update the wheels. Will a 17x9 with a 6 inch back spacing fit on the front with stock suspension?

No - Carl C is running the deepest backspace around here and that's a 9.5" wide wheel that is using 5.5" of backapace. He is using Speed Tech arms with adjustable steering stops. 5.25" may just about make it but the tire will probably contact the frame rail. Most of the 1st gen Camaros on this site with stock suspension are using 8" wide wheels with 4.75" of backspace. Bottom line you can get the 9" wide wheel to work but not without an adapter. Even then it's going to be very tight. Do a search there is lots of discussion on this.

You could always use a spacer.
