      Mounting Coil Inside interior........

I was thinking of mounting my coil inside my interior somewhere in an effort to clean up the engine compartment. I see that MSD makes a bulk head connection that mounts on the fire wall and you run a wire from the coil to it, and then on the other side from the bulk head connector to the distributer.
Is this a good way to do this? Am I loosing any power, or voltage by going this route? The only other way I see to do it is to just fish a wire through a hole, but the hole will have to be pretty big to get a plug through it.
Let me know what you guys think. Has anyone done this already?????

It's done all the time on race cars. Go for it. That's how we're setting up my Dad's '27 T too.

I mounted my 6AL box and blaster coil under the dash in my 69 camaro and used the bulk head connecter. I did this for the same reason - to clean up the engine compartment. I kept everything mounted towards the center of the dash to make room for future vintage air behind the glove box. Not alot of smooth / flat places to mount to. I kept everthing mounted to the dash as to keep the firewall clean. The screws can be seen under the cowl panel - but I just painted them body color and they are invisible.

I created a shelf where my glove box used to be in my 67 Firebird convert. I can mount my coil and my ignition box there. I mounted both on rubber shock mounts just to be safe.

I mounted my MSD box above the glove box against the dash face with velcro. There's enough room up there for a coil too.

I mounted it under the dash

Just make sure the coil is not mounted sideways or tilted so that the coil end is going toward the floor. It might leak.
