71 Chevelle with ZR1 17 X 11 & 17 X 9.5, Spacer?

I have a 71 Chevelle SS and a set of ZR1 wheels that I'd like to install. The wheel/tire specs are:

Front-17”x9.5” - Offset +56mm, 275 40 17
Rear-17”x11” - Offset +50mm, 315 35 17

I believe they will fit, although I need spacers, which leads to my question- What size spacers do I need? My car has a 12 bolt rear, and disc brakes on the front. The suspension is currently stock, but will be lowered shortly.

I've searched and can't find the answer, please help.

I just ordered 18X9.5 & 18X10.5 Z06 style wheels for my '72 442. I think we will ned 2' spcaers, but my plans are to mock them up and measure. Since the spacers come in different sizes, I figure this will net me the best ones.

2 inch is in the ball park. I plan to mock them up as well, but I was hoping to get some guidance from someone who has some experience with suspension travel and turning. I'm thinking it's going to be hard to turn the front wheels and try to figure out the spacing requirements.

The front wheels have 7.4" backspacing now so you're going to need a spacer that's around 1.5"-1.7". Zero offset on a 17x11 is going to be around 6" backspace. Yours has +50mm which will equate to around 8" backspace. My best guess for a rear spacer is around 1.75".

KAA aka Keith Anderson has a 70 SS El Camino with pretty much the same wheel & tire combo. Hopefully,he will read this and offer some more input.

I'm pretty sure my ZR1 replicas have 38mm offset on the front and 36mm offset on the rear. That's the smallest offset available. I'm using 1" billet wheel adapters, NOT spacers, on all four corners which works perfectly. The backspacing with the 1" adapter comes out to about 5.5" on the front and 6.5" on the rear.

I had forgotten you were running the early wheel offset on the fronts,Keith. What I've always been curious about is that 6.5" backspace on the rear not causing interference problems. Doesn't it ever rub on the inside?

No rubs....most of the time. Actually, the only time the tire rubbed the inside of the rear fender well was when I backed out of a really steep driveway. The driver's side wheel just about disappeared inside the wheel well.
