      Wheel widening?

Does anyone know of a company that widens (aluminum) wheels? I am looking at a set for my 4th gen Camaro, and they only go up to 17x9.5, which is fine for the front, but I would really like 17x11s in the back. If anyone knows of a company that does this, or has had any experience with this (positive or negative) please let me know. Also, if you have any idea on pricing, that would be cool, too. Thanks alot!

Just buy aftermarket wheels in the size you want. I priced it out to have a set widened at it was over $300 per wheel.

Weldcraft does nice work and has a fast turnaround time. For most jobs, they charge $125/wheel.

Thanks Clint, you have given me the perfect answer to my upcoming dilemma. Not only will Weldcraft widen my 19x10's ($225 ea.), they will also weld my Vette Brakes adapter to the wheel to adjust the backspacing per my specs. Saves me nearly a thousand dollars over having to buy 2 new wheels!

I spoke with them not too long ago, sounded like 2 1/2 is the widest. I would call and verify.

Eric Vaughn in CA is probably one of the best at altering wheels. Not cheap at approx $300ea but he can add up to 5" to a wheel. He is the guy the wheel makers go. I am sending him a set next week. If interested I can post number. If you do search I am sure I posted before.
