      Looking for a wheel

I was looking through the april 2006 high performance pontiac and on page 35 at the bottom center picture thay have a 75 road race trans am. There is a 70-72 trans am behind it in the photo with what looks like 18" vintage scca trans am wheels. I have been looking for some of these for about 3 years now and am only finding the vintage wheel and the american racing version. Does anyone know where I can find these wheel?

      Thanks for the help.

If the photo was taken in 1975 I'll bet you a months pay those are not 18" wheels.

The picture is from the 21st Trams Am Nationals, so , no it is not from 1975.

The wheels look like Vintage Wheel Works V48 which have just been released in a 17".

I have not seen any like them in 18"s. I suspect the ones in the pic are actually 16", prabably with a 245/50 tire.

      like these?

If not, provide a link to the wheels you did find, and we can go from there.

The v48 is a replica of the old minilite wheel also currently made by panasport. IMO, the VWW version does not do a very good job of duplication. Team III has a much better version. I've not seen that wheel in an 18" by anyone.

give PS Engineering a call (phil) Phil's contact info is here

He can make any (classic style) wheel you want.

otherwise Team III is indeed the cheapest best route.

Thanks for the help, I went to vintage wheel works site and found them. Last time I was on there they only had the 15's. I think I will go with those and just paint the center a more whitish color.

      Thanks
