the cops stole my Chrysler

Howdy all. I have (had) a 1970 Imperial that i got on eBay for $1900 (i overpaid...) Anyway. I live in Cathedral City, CA, just adjacent to Palm Springs. This car was in the street in front of my house, and a few days ago the meter maid chalked the tires and left a tag on it. I washed off the chalk and rolled it forward a few feet. Today I came home and checked my messages, and my neighbor had called to tell me the cops towed my car away. Silly me didn't notice it was gone... so i call the cops and it was towed for expired tags. so, yes i had expired tags. i usually keep the car in my driveway, but my neighbor is building a damn brick wall so i had it in the street.



At this point, i'm almost relieved it's gone, cause it was a pos, the brakes were broken, it barely ran, and just last week when i moved it something shorted out and the electrics went dead. but it was perfectly straight and had a 440.

HOWEVER... i'm supremly irate at the nerve of the local law to screw with me like this. My house is in sort of a garbage neighborhood that has a bad inferioity complex to the neighboring towns and sees overzealous 'code enforcement' as appropriate. My 65 Tempest got a parking ticket IN THE FU*KING DRIVEWAY for being 'abandoned or inoperable' when the car was completely functional. When i bought the house it was a dump with a goat living in the backyard. I fixed it up damn nice. I reappraised it and bought a Z06. Along the way though I got tons of citations from the city for brown damn grass the christmas lights, construction debris, cars parked 'poorly'. whatever. i got a letter from anonymous neighbor telling my my house looked like sh*t and 'are drugs a problem?'. yes bitch drugs are a problem, i'm a licensed pharmacist and medicare part D isn;t paying me enough.

People routinely double or triple the 25mph speed limit down my street. One neighbor has lost 2 mailboxes due to wayward cars, another had his parked car sideswiped by 3 drunken illegal immigrants. I know there's goats hiding somewhere. although, i could care less if somebody has a goat, or an old car at their house, or a pink flamingos and rainbow flags. i really feel that the fuzz and the city council could do better things than tow my damn mopar. so chickensh too... never a knock at my door, just certified letters and notices to abate. at least the big Imperial was good looking and a barricade for my kid in the front yard against the traffic.

at this point, i'm over paying fines fees and wasting my time and breath on the cops. my car got stolen. i'm writing my congressman. what the hell should i do??
