      New mopar guy from Norway..

Hi my name is Arne and i am building a 68 Charger RT 440 in a custom/pro-touring style.
I´ve been reading this forum a lot but have not posted any yet.
I live in nothern norway and there´s not a lot of amcars here, besides surburbands, tahoe and jeeps.
I run a bodyshop so i am lucky in that aspect, i can do the work myself.
I also have a homepage for my charger.
The plan was to be out driving in may/june.

      Take care

Welcome to the site, Arne. I really like your Charger. Wasn't too much on the site in the way of description - how come you went with the cowl on top of the stock hood - are you going to need the clearance, or was it cosmetic only?

I need the clearance for my eddy RPM intake w/1" spacer
The cowl hood is steel and was 5", byt i cut it down to 2,1/4"
Besides i think it look nice

The Performer will fit easily under the stock hood. The Performer RPM will not, but since you've added the 2.25" from the cowl, it should fit even w/the 1" spacer. If you need a bit more room, K+N makes dropbases for air cleaners.

BTW, you'll endure some ribbing for running a Chevy cowl on a Mopar. Depending on your motor, you might consider running the Holley Street Dominator single plane intake. It makes more hp + torque than the Performer RPM and is 1.5" shorter. I'm using one on my 451 stroker.

Well, it seems like the population of Mopar folks here is increasing! Great news! We are working on suspension systems for the B-body cars right now, the rear stuff is all but done, we will be installing on a customer car late this week, and are going to be working on finishing the design and proto-typing the new front suspension also in the immediate future.

Should be pretty cool to see more PT style Mopars, on this side of the pond your side! Welcome to the site!

Very nice. Paint work looks awesome. I'd love to hear about the combo of materials used.

I like it, the hood is def. different...BUT that center rib going big-small-big keeps glaring at me...are you going to try to make it more uniform? Doesn't look like it would be terribly difficult to fabricate a filler piece of sorts, but then again I've never attempted anything of the sorts! Anyway, other than that little detail, looks great!!

Yeah, i have had a lot of discussion with my self on that theme..
I did a lot of papir templets, but it was not easy to get it to look nice.
Even considered to make it go flat from the scoop to the front of the hood, but......I finaly tought it look fine as it is..

      Thanks again.

Awesome work. I saw some pictures of Jvikes when he went to a big show at a race track and drove around on it. If you plan on doing that be sure to get some action shots.

Nice 68 Charger. My Favorite Mopar by far. I miss the '69 440 Charger I had in High School (late 80s) and wish I still had it.

gionni...you RR is sweet! You don't see many of the 71s out there...The combo of stance, wheels, color, & interior is awesome. Just a nice total package.
