New to the pro touring gig
Hello! While I have been a member over at TA Country for some time, I want to get some opinions on my TA. I have owned it since 2012 and mechanically, its brand new. Exterior wise it's a survivor. My goal has always been to travel the country in it in relative comfort maintaining the classic styling with modern convenience/safety items (LED lights, bigger brakes, etc.). The problem is I LOVE the pro touring look to these cars. Not so much the slammed look, but one that has an aggressive stance but still can be driven. Honestly I am not sure how some of these cars can be driven as mine already scrapes things.
The car has the PTFB GT suspension (front and rear springs), however I opted to retain the 15" wheels so I have more sidewall to flex when I hit the Ohio potholes. It is already lowered about 1"ish. I have been kicking around bigger wheels/tires to increase brake size, although it does have dual piston front wilwood calipers on it. I also plan to go to a electric iBoost brake system on the car. This winter should also see a new Pypes exhaust, a OD trans (4l60e or 700r4).So I guess at the moment I am wondering is it possible to have the pro touring look but maintain the drivability to take long extended trips in the car.

So I've been on this site a number of years. I'm kind of a semi pro-tour guy when it comes to my hot rod builds.
My latest is a 80 Camaro. 28K mile car. Zero rust car.
I use C5 front brakes and 2002 Camaro rear brakes.
Updated front components.
Over drive 4L60E behind a LS3.
18" wheels all around. They are not harsh going down the road.
Used the same combo on a few Fbody LS swaps.
