Shopping list deciding factors...such as R&D info

I'm planning to build-up my 70 X-body (Nova) that is full stock with sbc350/th350. I will be using a GenV LT-1 and a TR6060 that I'm purchasing from a friend, not sure if I'll add turbo/s.

Plan is to daily it (travel/long drives) and join my buddies on drag and drives plus autocross events. That said, I am not trophy hunting, but I do want the best bang for my buck so in shopping for parts, I'm not really finding enough info to justify the significant difference in price for the same like item from different companies that supposedly make all their parts in our lovely USA.

Considering the suspension options out there, I plan to replace the front subframe, install mini-tubs and go with a torque arm; I really can't figure out if the DSE Quadralink is a better system/option.

I pretty much only see the DSE mini-tubs being used versus inserts, wondering if there's a good reason why? https://www.fabquest.com/product/ez-...bbing-inserts/

The companies I'm looking at for suspension are TCI, Speedtech, and ridetech (I find it odd that ridetech doesn't make a torque arm).

Are all torque arms the same? Don't they all perform the same function? What should I be looking for? Companies have been selling these for years but not sure what's improved on them over time... lighter/stronger material, improved geometry from previous torque arm version, etc...? I'm simply not finding the info

From reading several posts from other car builds, I mostly find that trying to fit a wider tire was the deciding factor in choosing a company to go with...but I think all systems seem to accommodate a 295/315 tire combo, anything wider than that will require mods above the system of choice/DSE tubs; the front would require massaging the inner tire wells regardless...is this incorrect?

I'll most likely go with a 9in. and 6piston brakes. I'm deciding on those as well between Strange or Currie and Baer or Wilwood.

Appreciate any info you guys can provide on the actual durability or performance factors from these systems. Also, would a roll-bar (not full cage) for drag also pass cert for autocross/road race?

Thanks (Maybe should have posted this in the General category)
