Hello
Hi,
I am a restoration and custom build shop owner in Connecticut and I'm excited to be part of the forum. We started out with a general focus on muscle cars and classic cars, but we've become much more specialized in pro-touring and restomod builds. We have 7 or 8 builds going on in various states of completion. Of note are two first gen Camaro's, each getting Roadster Shop Fast Track Chassis' with IRS. One will have a 383 and the other an LS7. The 383 will be light on body and interior mods, but the LS7 will have a lot custom work inside and out. We also have a 1954 Pontiac Star Chief that we are putting on a Roadster Shop chassis with an LS3. That's a fun one because it's such a different car.
We are all about modernizing the old stuff, and I'm looking forward to communicating with like-minded people.
I will also be posting job openings in the appropriate forum.
Lastly, is there a definitive definition that distinguishes pro-touring from restomod? Some have told me that pro-touring is more track and race oriented, where restomod is more street. We generally use the term restomod, but I want to make sure I'm using it correctly.
Thanks,
Marc
