      Modern Classics - BUYER BEWARE!

Be very cautious working with MODERN CLASSICS. They were very open to taking my calls, responding to my VMs and responding to emails though the moment they received my initial payment for a console for my 1968 Chevelle, communication went silent. They stopped responding all together. ~5 weeks from payment and numerous emails/VMs, I finally received an email the console would be shipped in the coming weeks. Followed up (left / sent numerous voicemails and emails) ~3 weeks later with no responses whatsoever. Last email I sent (due to 0 responses) was asking for a refund after stating my concerns, questioning whether I was being scammed and informing them my plans to post on various sites. Quickly thereafter, I got an email from "Jeff" asking if I wanted a refund or wait for it to be completed (no date provided). I asked for a refund. No response, again and over 2 weeks later, refund was not received. Posting this to warn all potential buyers of my experience and complete lack of customer service at MODERN CLASSICS. I did some research (please do yours) and found similar instances. Lessons learned, don't let their website fool you! I plan to reach out to their vendors they link on their website for awareness though starting here to get the word out! Best of luck and can't state it enough, BUYER BEWARE!!

Unfortunately this has been known for many years. i was aware of his rep before I ordered my console, so I paid through PayPal backed by my AmEx and not bank account. He promised 3wks to ship from payment date, which I took with a grain of salt. I gave him 6wks before I threatened to dispute. He shipped the console the next day.

Appreciate the feedback. Paid them Jan 21st so over 8 weeks before they finally responded (Mar 20th) and asked if I wanted a refund, which never came. Filed a BBB complaint, which I found another complaint related and issued dispute with bank for credit. I have worked with dozens of similar companies like Modern Classics for my build though 1st time I ran into issues like this. Disappointed things didn’t work out and not doing my due diligence!

It’s a shame. He has some nice products but he seems to lack the ability to reliably produce them. That and he seems to have no issues with taking people’s money and not delivering. I don’t know who Jack is but his name is Michael. Maybe he brought in a partner after he ran out of avenues to take in money….
