L8T as good as they say?

Im planning a engine swap into a G8, which is originally a LS car. sounds a little goofy but the L8T works out to be a good bit cheaper than a dart or lsx block. Goal is 12-1400hp on E85.

Do these engines not have the same issues as 4 bolt LS stuff with head gasket retention? I havent heard of anyone lifting the heads on these engines, but the only high powered L8Ts i can find online are the 2000hp ones, that are on methanol and what not. Will it hold down my goals with studs and E85??
id assume the rest of the block and sleeves are solid enough for my goals.

Anyone have real world experience other than the insane powered ones that I havent seen off a dyno? Thanks

      current plan is:
L8T block + mains (may be .005 over if need be)
      L8T crank
BTR pistons + rods they recommended me
      LT4 ported heads
      LT4 headgaskets???
      main and head studs
      procharger
ICT kit to delete direct injection, and fit a LS intake on LT heads (plan on keeping the stock ECU in the car)
