      'Emma K8' 1969 Camaro

I have 3 pro touring builds in mind, one for each of my granddaughters. The first is Emma K8, a 1969 Camaro RS/SS. The second is 'Kennedy', a 1973 Trans Am, and the third will be 'Madison', a 1974 Corvette Convertible. If I'm still around, a 4th will be for my first grandson. 'Harvey' will be a mid engined 1969 Mustang Hatchback.

      I give you: Emma K8

      What we have now:

All new sheet metal body with DSE mini tubs and partially shaved firewall.
DSE Hydroformed Subframe with Single adjustable coilovers
      DSE Subframe Connectors
      DSE Quadralink Rear
      9" Ford True Trac 3.70
      Wilwood 6/4 piston brakes

Planned changes coming up in Feb:
      Door handles shaved
      Drip rails shaved
      Flush Glass

      2014 Mercedes CLA dash

Eventual Specs: Subject to change and will add as we go.

      Engine:
TSP Resleeved LS 5.3 to 427 big bore
RHS Pro Elite LS7 Heads with 2.20 Ti intake and 1.615 Stainless exhaust, 400cfm
BTR custom cam for 3000 stall converter, targeting 650 @6500 on pump gas
      Jesel Pro Aluminum Rockers
Carbon pTR LS7 intake with 105mm TB

Transmission: ZF 8HP70 with 3000 stall converter

Maxx ECU controlling engine and trans

This is intended to be a high tech build, with features like paddle shifting and ABS.

More details to come but I gotta get to work for now.

      4 packages arrived today!

In the crates are the TSP shortblocks. I stayed up until midnight on Black Friday to score these. While I had an immediate need for the -2cc piston unit for Emma Kate, I couldn't pass the opportunity to get the -18cc dished version for the Whipple 427 going in Kennedy. A $9k shortblock for $6500.

The Painless engine harness arrived as well as the Racepak 12.3" dash. The harness is setup for a GM ECU, but to save 2 grand, I don't mind repinning it for the MaxxECU.

I've had these heads laying around for 8 years. They were on my C6 Corvette Road race car, sequential shifting at 7500 RPM. Glad I hung onto them.

Do they make a 6" cowl hood?

Well, the Carbon pTR intake is certainly a no-go.

With all the conflicting info out there, I just had to see for myself.

A man cannot live on speed alone

      Gotta stop sometime.

Had to utilize a different spindle than the DSE, since they do not offer a C7 brake option.

Some work to do to get the steering adapter mounted, but not a huge task.

Yes, the brake sensor will be wired to the ECU to present an alarm on the dash.

WARNING: Will require the use of 18" wheels.

Impressive build. What spindle did you use to get those C7 calipers to fit?
