12.7 is pretty tight. Did you find it too sensative or just right?

Nope, I love the 12.7:1 boxes. We've ran them on our shop cars and been very happy. It's tight but very usable for an all around driver/fun autocross car.

I've driven some with a 10:1 box and I believe those are too tight for the street but that's just my opinion.

      Thanks josh.

I am thinking about changing my system. I currently have a manual rack. The problem is they make the ratio higher so you can handle the car in tight places, but the giveaway is that it has a higher ratio on winding roads and I feel like Im driving a car from the 50's. I don't know what my ratio is but I bet its 20:1 At some point I will replace the manual rack to a power assist and was wondering how tight I could go without the car feeling twitchy. Sounds like 12.7:1 is a pretty good ratio.

Haha, I totally understand. I think the 12.7:1 ratio is pretty right for whatever the car is being used for.

I just put one of our full subframes on it with a rack. The Borgeson box is what I'd put on all of the stock 1st gen frames though, they work great.

Yeah, all the normal stuff. Running the tail of the dragon, 1/4 mile sometime, maybe an autocross now and then and road course. Sounds pretty good for an all around pro touring car..

Another happy Borgeson customer here on my 2nd gen Camaro. Been flawless for the last 6-7 years. Also running their U-joint steering shaft go along with it.

12.7 is the ratio you want. If you've ever driven a camaro or jeep grand cherokee, you've driven a 12.7:1 vehicle. I'm running a 12.7 in my chevelle and love it. Just be prepared, the first time you install it, you need to hesitate before turning. I spent about a week about turning into curbs and street signs until I grew used to the added response.
