      oil and trans fluid

      Is it necessary to drain the oil and trans fluid when pulling an engine and trans?

      I typically drain the trans to keep it from pouring out the tailshaft. If you are taking the engine apart, I would drain the engine oil too as it is just easier to do in the car.
