Has anyone had noise and/or failure from their TruTrac?

Trying to chase down a noise issue that may be the TruTrac so I'm looking for your findings if you had a problem related to it specifically.

I've installed several trutracs in trucks and cars. One in my own Silverado, probably got 70k on it. Never any problems with them.

Maybe describe the noise. What vehicle, trans, rear end. Is the noise constant or certain MPH, accel or decel, etc.

Yes, I had a noise issue with a factory 02 SS Camaro unit.

It made a squeaking/growling sound at times around turns at light loads around 40 mph.
It always functioned correctly, but it wasn't always quiet.

Thanks. Mine is pretty consistent from 16 MPH on and increases with speed of the car-not the trans-and decreases back to no noise as the car slows. Gear set changes have not had an effect. This is looking down an axle tube toward the TruTrac, although this is at idle in gear and the noise chatter/howl type noise can't be heard:

I'd like to hear if anyone has had any issues, they were able to pin on the TruTrac itself. While not a lot of bad one's out there, there are a few people that have had different problematic units.

Mine's been fine for 70k+ miles. Are you running their recommended fluid type/weight?

What vehicle are we talking about? What diff? What transmission?
Have all of the bearings/races in the diff been replaced?

You're saying it chatters and howls at the same time?
Is this only in a straight line?

I appreciate the questions but I’m only asking for comments from those that have had problems specifically traced to a TruTrac as I stated in the OP.

Just trying to help, but difficult w/o all the info.
If it's howling, I wouldn't think it has anything to do with the trutrac. I've heard some issues with chatter but that is usually while taking a turn and is minor.
Honestly curious what you come up with, depending on application I recommend these diffs to customers.

If you haven't already you might want to try Yellow Bullet in the diff section or LS1Tech.
