      Ls running no thermostat?

I am not asking if it’s a good idea, but I am trying understand the flow paths.
assuming no heater core and the two outlets on side of waterpump are plugged and not looped together.(if it matters)
Whats the rear block off restrictor for on the thermostat? I took my thermostat and cut that stuff off. I am only using the outer part that holds the gasket. Somewhat like the sbc race restrictor plate thermostat replacements. I was thinking blocking off heater hoses (they flow from front to back of pump? I didn’t screw up by removing the rear pressure block off valve in the thermostat? With out thes restrictor will coolant still flow as designed? I thought if I hooked a loop line on heater core lines it was the same thing as removing plate. Shouldn’t matter the loop lines do same job flowing coolant front to back as removing the block off?
      or am I wrong?

Use the loop, helps keep it cooler, what are your temps of the coolant??? I always understood fuel injection needed certain temps to help with the way the engine runs,
