Oh man, love those headers into side pipes. Very cool build. What color scheme interior/exterior?

Not sure on color yet but leaning towards black. Interior will be black.

Hey Todd76 sorry for the late reply.

I don’t have photos of the build, but I will have some as the disassembly begins soon.

I’ve been busy gathering tools; parts etc, for quite a while.

The build plan is to configure the chassis with C6 suspension, front and rear, so the frame will have to be modified. The electronics will all be C6 where the engine control module and the body control module will communicate across the GMLAN. Body wiring will all be C6. The engine base will be a GM Big Block 8.1L Vortec 496. It has a cast iron block but the intake, the heads and the oil pan will be cast aluminum. The weight will be less than a 454 but will produce much more power.

I can go on and on about this but I believe you can see where this is going.

If you want to check out the capabilities of the Vortec 496 hop over to Raylay Engineering, and on the Hot Rod Performance page you'll find a link to a PDF of a 496 being stuffed into a 69 convertible. Look for the banner/link on the right side of the page, half way down, 8.1L Hot Rod Swap – ’69 CORVETTE

Good luck with your build. I will continue to follow your progress..

About your body color. Black will be great but the body must be perfect. Keep in mind, the 76 can wear any color well.
