10mb is as big as I can recieve in an email, If you can't get the assembly small enough, try breaking it into smaller assemblies, I will turn it back into a larger assembly when I upload it.

I will try to figure out how to remotely load to my FTP site if this doesn't work.

I got them, I will try to rebuild the assembly tonight. I am using Solidworks 2005 so any earlier version parts will be converted to 2005. I am not upgrading to Solidworks 2006 yet because anyone with earlier versions of solidworks would not be able to open the files.

It's a C2/C3 suspension, used from 63 to 79. This is the one w/ the cast iron differential.

The C4 susp. is completely different w/ trailing rods and a set of toe control rods

I'm currently in a class learning Solid Edge v17. I'm loving it!
We've got a project right now to design a 4" car body and chassis that we are going to print w/ one of those 3D printers (coolest things EVER!!) I'm pretty pumped. I'll post up, after i finish it.

      SLA Modeling

Not to jump into this thread, but back in school we used an SLA (Stereolithography) to create prototype parts. It was great fun. We made a scale model John Deere skid steer with hydraulic cylinders that could be operated with water and syringes. This work was all done in ProE (back then it was version 2000i^2)

OK, I'll let you guys get back to car stuff. I just thought I'd chime in with an SLA story.

Did you see the Hot Rod cover shot of the SLA intake on LS7? Pretty neat...and they actually ran the engine with it.

SLA is real nice for that reason that and so is SLS (Selective Laser Sintering) which creates a metal finished part out of a prototype. I have a little experience with FDM (Fuse Deposition Model) which is ABS resin extruded into the prototype shape but its brittle and mostly used for light mockup or testing how it feels in your hand.

Not me...I just did a quick crude shape.

over @ lateral-g there's an artwork section where someone has excellent models of a SBC and a TKO. I wish I had an accurate SBC or even better BBC model.

Robert, that is pretty cool. Do you work for GM, or did you model all of that?
