Independent Rear Suspension - 8.8" Factory Five Racing

I bought this setup for my '66 Mustang Fastback build a few years ago. That project has stalled out and it's time to sell off some parts.

This setup is not Mustang specific and would be at home in a variety of cars, trucks, etc.

The setup was built for the first generation of Factory Five Cobra replicas. Originally based on an 8.8 Thunderbird Super Coupe donor. The (01-03) Mustang Cobra and Lincoln MKVIII utilize the same donor parts. If memory serves me correctly its 59" hub to hub (give or take 1/4")

Take a look at the pictures.

• Complete cradle, upper and lower control arms from FFR
• Uprights - new from Ford Racing
• Hubs - New from Ford Racing 5x4.5 std Ford pattern - Could be drilled for other bolt patterns I'm sure.
• Axles - new 28 spline Mustang Cobra (would need to be shortened)

You would need to supply the 8.8 internals along with shocks and brakes of your choice. Again, Mustang Cobra parts bolt right up to the hubs.

I was going to use an 8.8 trac loc setup I have from a Fox Body (87-93 Mustang 28 spline). Pretty inexpensive donor parts.

I can get additional pics of any component or part number you may want to see.

With aftermarket IRS setups north of ten grand, this gets you the same result at half the price - just need to do a little fab work to install in your ride.

The first picture was taken 02-13-2022, second is the 28 spline '99 Cobra axle set, third is as received from Factory Five a few years back with new uprights, next pic is from FFR showing it in all its glory, last pic shows hub and upright.
