Raise car 1/2"

I just lowered my 68 camaro with Hotchkis BB spring. It lowered the car about 4" which is 1/2" too much. Does anyone make coil spring spacers or shims to raise the front 1/2". I now have 13 3/8" between the spindle and fender. I'd like to get 245/45/17 to fit. Thanks in advance and happy holidays

do a search cause someone mentioned poly spacers that fit between the a arm or frame and spring.

4" seems alot, usaully you will get about 1.5 to 2" of drop with Hotchkis springs, are you sure you have big block springs? Mr. Gasket,Energy Suspension and others make spring spacers [sometimes call A/C spacer, they were used when you added aftermarket A/C back in the 60's to the early 80's]. Also to run a 245 on the front of a 67/68 Camaro you may have tire rub on the sway bar, the frame and maybe the fender lip depending on tire brand [some brands are wider]

I did a search for spacers and came up empty. I thouth I saw a web page where Global West or a company like that made an aluminum spacer that fit between the frame and spring but can't find that.

Speedway sells the landrum ride height adjusters, do a search.

The Landrum adjusters cannot be used with a Hotchkis, or any other spring, that does not have a closed end (flat) to fit the adjuster.

To raise the car 1/2" you will need an approx. 1/4" thick spacer. As a basic rule of thumb for good handling, the center of the front lower A-arm bolt should be 1/2" higher than the center of the sphere in the lower ball joint when the car is at full weight and on four wheels.

You will be able to fit a 245/45/17, on the right rim, easily.

My setup is Hotchkis BB springs and sway bar, DSE upper + lower arms +Koni shocks. I insalled the SB springs but it was 1/2 lower than it is now. My question is where do I get the spacer

Global West does have aluminum spacers. They may not be on their site but you can call them and order. The spring moves .5" for 1" of wheel movement, so your spacer needs to be half the amount you want to raise the car.

What if you use the Coil spring isolator Style D from energy suspension with the landrum adjusters?

http://www.energysuspension.com/pages/sboots.html if you scroll down on the page look at style D. it gives a flat bottom and allows for a stock style spring to be put in with it. Would this be possible?

Also the aluminum spacers? if you use those can you just toss em in and never look at them again or is that something that needs to be checked on repeatedly? Is the Global West style like the screw in style that Mr Gasket sells?
