Another new guy with a 69 I know I know

      Hello all,

I've been trolling this forum for awhile now getting all the info on creating a pro touring beast. I figure I should introduce myself since I'll probably be harassing everyone with questions. My name is Jeremy and I have been a long time LS1tech member and four gen fan. I wrecked my 98 in april and decided to find my dream car a 1969 Camaro. I found one locally and now the madness will begin. I plan on installing my modded LS1 and t56 from the 98 into the 69 and build a pro touring car. My drive comes from seeing SW's unbelievable 69 camaro along with a few others here such as Rybar and the mule. I've seen nineball's garage a lot on LS1tech and I want to take a page from his book and magnacharge the LS1. I am getting married in 2008 and I told the fiance all my checks are going to get this car done in time for the wedding. She's so happy about the ring that she just said sure make it happen without really realizing that it'll prolly cut into the wedding savings hahaha . Anyways here are some pics of my cars, my wrecked 98 (was fixable until I tore it completely apart a few weeks ago) my 69 project, and my always dependable third gen 86 Z. I've learned so much already and I can't wait to soak in more knowledge from you all!!!

      Thanks,
      Jeremy

Welcome aboard Jeremy, sounds like a great project! Glad I was inspirational to you, but my car is not in the class of the Mule and Streetkings cars. lol

If you need any help, just drop me a line.

Thanks for the welcome, Rybar don't be modest man the car is beautiful. I will probably have to shoot you some pms on installing the LS1 once I get that far.
TRILOGYZ28 Yes I plan on using the motor and tranny from the 98. I was planning on putting it in my third gen but then I got the itch to go a bit further after checking out this site.

Thanks SW, that's quite the garage of cars you got there. Your 69 has been my computer desktop background for a long time now. Would you be able to tell me the length of your rear axle? I will be doing the DSE mini tub and I really want to run the Fikse rims like yours. I've always wanted them on my fourth gen and they look even better on the 1st gens IMO. So I was curious about your axle length and wheel offset specs. Well I'm off, taking a four day vacation so I'll be checkin back in Sunday night.

      Thanks,
      Jeremy
