8.5" 10 bolt drum s to Corvette disc brakes

      Hello!
Does anybody has the swap described above?
I know I have to fabricate some brackets for the calibers and to modify the brake pressure regulator.=> What else to do?
Any tips for the ebrake setup? I need an "Y"-splitter (one cable from the pedal setup => two cables to the calibers) and I think the Corvette one will not work=> Any other car?
Perhaps a Mercedes because they also use a brake pedal for the e-brake?

      Thanks for any help!

it would be easier to use the LS1 park brake backing, rotor and a C5 caliper mounted on an LS1 abutment. That is a bolt on.
Also use the LS1 park brake cables and you can use your original cross cable but you will have to make a bracket to secure the LS1 cables.

You can use the C5 rear brakes but you would have to make a housing end bracket and figure out the rotor flange mounting distances... LS1 is alot less work and is basically the same thing.

Need a spacer for the backing plate w/ LS1 swap

      See this thread.

I have a pic there that shows the backing plate and abutments mounted and how you need a spacer to center the disk within the abutments on my 8.5" 10 bolt.

      Hello!

      Background:

I bought a wrecked 92' Corvette and so I already have the brake parts.

Parts from a LS1 F-Body would be very hard to find in Germany. So it's easier to create special parts. I have an own milling machine etc. But I will be happy about every "how to".

hummmm, you would have to have to make a bracket or redrill the housing flange...then have a spacer made to set the proper backspace for correct disc spacing.

Since you have a rear section from the vette you can figure out the dimentions you need. Wait, why don't you set up your Camaro with the rear IRS section...the Wayne Due kit is pretty cheap. If not I have someone that ships to Germany and I can get you a LS1 setup.

      @Mr Quick

      Hello!

I thought a lot about the IRS-setup. It is sitting in my garage since 3 years. But all the work=> engineering, welding etc. I think it is too much for me, over my experience and what I think I could handle. I decide to use the Nova rear end. In this forum there are some opinions which would not prefer the IRS.

      IRS concerns

its not as bad as one would think. Opinions? I guess it would depend on the usage...drag racing yeah I can see not being the best choice. But chasing BMW's and Benz's around the curvey sections of der Autobahnen in Deutschland, I say hell yeah.

but if you still want the stiff diff you have all the stuff you need to figure out the proper spacing and brackets in front of you. You can order the proper length axles to set the rotor distance. Which wheels do you have? Sawblades?
