Just a quadriplegic trying to build a race truck
So I like to incorporate a little bit of disabled humor into my Builds Usually, in the form of part of a disabled parking sign for the aluminum, but I found myself out of stock. This is usually not the case because disabled people are such good drivers that you never find one of those parking signs mangled Or mown down. Yeah, right I like to do my part and help clean up these messes because they can be a hazard to disabled people. all right, I called BS on myself my bad. So I ordered this custom sign to use to make a mount under the hood for my Willwood proportioning valve and line lock, but I think it's too good to cut up 🤷🏻*♂️

So here's where I'm at - measure measure again check eyeball check check a different way just a quadriplegic trying to build a race truck. I will have effectively lowered the lower shock mount a little over an inch. I know my shock is 15 inches high and I wanna ride height of around 13 1/2 inches so I'll be mocking it up soon to see how high my upper coilover mount needs to be. I wish I knew how much the 750 pound coils were going to compress once I lower the truck onto the wheels. I'm just guessing an inch maybe an inch and a quarter inch and a half??? I haven't changed the leverage ratio. I know I'll have a little bit of height adjustment with the coil over, but I don't wanna have to wrench it up to get there.. The shock holes are approximately 7.25 inches from the centerline of the bushings to the centerline of the mounting holes .center of ball joint to shock mounting is about 7.5 .very close to a two to one ratio . I think I'm going to abandon the plating idea. It'll be too heavy and I really don't think I need it. Any welders out there comment on possible gussets or supports needed?? I hesitate to post any pictures with Welding that I've done in it because after all, I know I'm not a welder and this is really really important so I'm trying really really hard.
