Ported LT1 heads VS LT4 heads

Can LT1 heads be ported to flow close to the LT4 heads? Don't have the $$ to spend on LT4 heads & definetly not the AFR heads. Have a freind in CA who says his buddy that works at a race head shop can port them for me for cheap. Is it worth a try?

      Thanks,
      Scot

Ironically Chevy High Performance and Car Craft both have fairly decent ariticles about LT1's in this month's respective issues. There was mention of the Edelbrock part however I can't remember what they said. Both articles are certainly worth a look!

Yes it is worth getting the LT1 heads ported if the person doing the work really knows what they are doing. Lloyd Elliot knows what he is doing with them. www.eportworks.com

Good porting isn't cheap. Cheap porting generally isn't good.

How much is he saying for the porting?
