      Budnik Wheel Delivery

I'm just wondering how long it took you guys to get your wheels after you placed a order. I ordered a set of wheel for my fiances car for xmas. The order was placed 10-21-05. On Tuesday 12-13-05 I called DSE to check up on the order because I was originally told I would have them 12-10-05. Scott called to check on them for me and called me back and said they are suppost to be made 12-21. It would be REALLY nice to be able to give her the wheels on Xmas. Don't get me wrong I'm not mad at DSE or Budnik they have been great. I'm just curious if two months is about the norm. If so I should have been a little smarter and ordered them earlier.

Do they wait until they ship to bill your credit card? , I may have to place my order when I get about 2-3 months from being able to afford them so I don't go nuts

I was told 4 weeks, but it ended up being almost 8 weeks. I think they charged like half at first, then the rest when they shipped.

I ordered in May, which I think is a busy time for them since everyone is trying to get their car ready for the season. So the time may not be as long now.

Thanks for all the replies. My credit card was charged on 12-9. So they waited until they were supposed to be shipped to charge me.
It seems like there is a pretty big gap in delivery times. My Hammers are Fat Lips with the hidden valve stems. Could that have something to do with the longer delivery times?

Again thanks for the replies. I'm sure no matter what it will be worth the wait. I think these wheels will look great on our 68.

      *UPDATE*
Wheels are to ship on 1-3-06. That is eleven weeks from when I ordered them. I guess I'll be printing a picture of the wheel and putting it in an box for Xmas. If it wasn't for no luck...
I ordered them to early to get in on the 10% off Budnik's they are having now, and it seems to late to get them in time for Xmas.

      I ordered Budnik Tiller 5 17x8 and 17x13 from DSE around 10/1.
Shipping Date will probably be the same as you, early January.
I was told that their hoop supplier no longer makes hoops for the 13's so they had to make a one off set themselves. I assume this to be true, but it does seem that everyone, yourself included, has had to wait for a long time. Just part of the custom parts business I guess.

Get a really good picture, blow it up to life size and put the picture inside the tire. Then it will look like a mounted rim. Wrap that and stick it under the tree.

I ordered my Gassers on 9/28 and it took 9 weeks. However, it was well worth the wait!
