Nice looking 'Bird, 1969 was a great year for GM!
An idea for your intake manifold, get the liquid ceramic coating from eastwood I think, you have to media blast the intake, and wash and blow dry clean. Then airbrush the ceramic, bake in your oven, then use very fine steel wool to bring out the luster. It looks great and helps reflect engine heat away.

Nice. Looks like my old car, but nicer.

Mine was a 350/2bbl/4speed/ac/hood tach w/ manual drums, all from the factory.

      Love the color!!!

yeah, that was me. I've given up on the SVX. Just gonna spend my time and money (the little that there is) on the Firebird.

My car probably isn't a very good reference when it comes to originality. It was originally a 350-2bbl-TH350 car. The 400 in it is out of a 67 GTO, i think the trans came from a Grand Prix. My tilt column came out of some other Pontiac I found in the JY. By the time I get done with, I'm sure they'll be even less original about it.

That and I've got to get some recent pictures of it. It barely resembles the car in the first post anymore. 6 years of sitting outside untouched have certainly taken their toll on the body.
