Heidts 4 Link

I'm looking at 4 links for my 67 Camaro. I did browse around the forums before posting but seems like the reviews are mixed. Is Heidts a solid product for a street / fun car? Their kit is currently around $500 or so cheaper than ridetech which everyone seems to say good things about.

Is the gap in quality that great that spending the extra money a no brainer?

It’s really all about the shocks imho. ridetech shocks are pretty good. What shocks are Heidi’s using?

ridetech changed the orientation of the upper bars a while ago which gained them some improvement.

Based on what I've seen both companies make their own coil-overs in house now. I know Ridetech offers a pretty good warranty on their stuff as well.

I doubt anybody is making shocks in house. Sourced from Fox or a supplier like that. To custom spec is likely the most they can do.

ridetech monotube shocks are made by Fox who recently purchased Ridetech.

Heidts are likely some no name shock. I wouldn’t touch them. They really aren’t a player in the pro touring market despite years of trying. There is likely a reason for that.

Gotcha. Ok going to mull it over might just go with the Ridetech setup.

I had a Heidt 4 link in my 67 Nova. It bolted in OK. The coil over shocks supplied with the kit were not right for the application. Too short not enough travel. Spoke to them a number of times with no good tech help. I ended going to the local circle track parts supplier and got a pair of Afco coilover shocks that worked very well. Afco tech help was great.
I bought the Heidt kit about 8 years ago. I hope they have improved. I would not buy from them again.

Thats the consensus on them from what i read.. decent but not great. With that said i just pulled the trigger this afternoon on the 4 link from ridetech!
