What type of primer on a plastic steering wheel?

I'm trying to figure out if I need a certain type of primer or an adhesion premoter for painting a plastic steering wheel. It's a stock style aftermarket for a 55 Chevy. I have 2k primer but didn't know if that would be best to use. It's single stage enamel paint. Any help would be appreciated.

I would use a quality epoxy primer. Top coat it within the recoat window.
