      15" First Gen

What is the widest 15" wheel you can run on a 1st gen f body, and what tire? Something low profile, old race style? Like a 245/50/15?

well roughly that in front, but imo a 50 series would look tiny in that wheelwell... ive got 235/60/15s right now and they look tiny, also you can fit much more than that out the back, say a 275

PS look at the photos in the link in my sig

Well, I would want a short wide tire. The car would sit low on them, like the old Trans Am series cars.

It seems a 69 wont take anything wider then an 8 inch rim with about 4" to 4 1/2" backspace. If you have the car low you might rub the inner fenders in front , take out the bolt that the tire rubs or replace it with a button head.

Interesting. So an 8" rim on the front, what about the back? Could you get a 10" rim in there?
