      Take-off Brembo Brakes

anybody make up their own big brake kits using take off Brembos from Porsche, Audi, Chevy Etc. If so did you make your own brackets or were you able to find existing brackets to make them work. I've been looking at the take off Brembo Calipers from the Porsche Cayenne or Chevy Camaros and you can score some pretty good deals on used calipers that you'd pay at least twice as much if you bought a new kit

You can, and its do-able with the appropriate research. Especially if youre going to be using manual brakes. Piston sizes, pad compound availability and caliper body flex are all pretty important if you plan on utilizing the brakes to their potential. If youre going to piece together the rotors too, the position of the rotor in relation to the bearing spread of the hub is worth looking into when designing the brackets as well...

I just did a CTSV Brembo swap on my chevelle. I used the front and rear bracket kit from bigbrakeupgrade.com and sources the rest of the parts off amazon for calipers/rotors. I should have them bled this week and roadworthy next weekend.

Bigbrakeupgrade.com is the place to go. His name is Scott. He'll do custom brackets as well if he doesn't carry them. Great guy to deal with.
