      Brake system build up

I hope this is in the right section.

I am rebuilding a 1967 dodge d100 from the ground up basically. I have replaced the frame, and I am adding an IFS and triangulated 4-link. I have read and looked at pictures of brake systems, and I just wanted to see what you guys think.

The front will be discs (included in the IFS) and the rear for now is drum, but will be upgraded later. I am starting almost from scratch. I have a brake booster and master cylinder, but I dont know what its from, and I have a proportioning valve. All I know is it slowed the truck down. I have to replace every line and union on the truck.

I dont have a ton of money, or I would go ahead and do the rear discs and upgrade to a non-vacuum booster. I like the ni-cop line, so I guess Ill use that. I hate the normal brake fittings, but everywhere I have read says not to use AN fittings.

So, the question is; if you were building a brake system from scratch, with the intention of upgrading to rear discs later, how would you do it? Do I need residual pressure valves? Where in the line do I put them? The truck doesnt have any now. I know the basic idea, but I dont want to overlook something because of inexperience. It needs to be right. It will be a driver, not a race truck. Also, what things have you done, because it seemed right, but then you learned it was unnecessary?
