Yeah they are using the french guy from the Professional for the next one! Its gonna suck. All the good movies are ruined by remakes.

It seems that for most to give an honest answer, this thread needs to be split up into categories:

      Favorite Comedy
      Favorite Epic / Drama
      Favorite Mob Movie
      Favorite Western
      Favorite Car Movie
      Etc, etc.

But Tony said yer 1 favorite, so I'll stick to that.

Stalingrad - might take some searching to find it, but I believe one of my local Blockbusters carries it now.

The Germans know how to do WWII movies - none of that "we're the good guys, nobody you root for gets killed" stuff - war is hell and they know it. The Germans lost the battle of Stalingrad, if you didn't already know.

I am a huge fan of Bill Murray. Groundhog day really hits home though, I grew up 25 miles from Punxsatawney.

One of my all time favorites - The Man Who Knew to Little

"Dead Man on Campus"... a little sick humor but the funniest damn movie I have ever seen. As far as something close to a real-life story (i.e. bio) I would have to say "Friday Night Lights". Those folks in Texas are really addicted to football.

"Pure Country" I am a huge George Strait fan. Saw my first concert when I was 5 and just always enjoyed his music. The movie just has a good traditional country style. Most city slickers probably wouldn't enjoy this movie.
"Dumb and Dumber" Funniest movie of all times. You have seen it, we all have!

Oh yeah, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid ("Use enough dynomite there Butch?")
Bill has named another great movie as well.

If you guys are fans of Peter Sellers, you MUST (and I repeat) MUST see the movie "The Party". My favorite from Sellers. Also, "Being There" was great too. The man was a comic genius...and sorely missed.

My life fades. The vision dims. All that remains are memories. I remember a time of chaos. Ruined dreams. This wasted land. But most of all, I remember The Road Warrior. The man we called "Max". To understand who he was, you have to go back to another time. When the world was powered by the black fuel. And the desert sprouted great cities of pipe and steel. Gone now, swept away. For reasons long forgotten, two mighty warrior tribes went to war and touched off a blaze which engulfed them all. Without fuel, they were nothing. They built a house of straw. The thundering machines sputtered and stopped. Their leaders talked and talked and talked. But nothing could stem the avalanche. Their world crumbled. The cities exploded. A whirlwind of looting, a firestorm of fear. Men began to feed on men. On the roads it was a white line nightmare. Only those mobile enough to scavenge, brutal enough to pillage would survive. The gangs took over the highways, ready to wage war for a tank of juice. And in this maelstrom of decay, ordinary men were battered and smashed. Men like Max. The warrior Max. In the roar of an engine, he lost everything. And became a shell of a man, a burnt out, desolate man, a man haunted by the demons of his past, a man who wandered out into the wasteland. And it was here, in this blighted place, that he learned to live again...

I am a huge nerd so I will have to say Army of Darkness with Bruce Campbell.

I love all the Star Wars, and Indiana Jones movies and loads others. But Army of Darkness is just the perfect length that I can watch it whenever uninterupted all the way through.

Heh..... You think you're a nerd? My favorite drop everything movie is, and I hate to admit it, but it's The Princess Bride. Don't ask why, but I like it. Favorite lines - "This time, do it your way." "Oh goodie, my way. Wait, what's my way?" "You pick up a boulder, and you throw it at him!!" "Oh. My way isn't very sportsmanlike...." :rolleyes5
