255/50/17 Pic Request

Been looking for a few mounted pics of a a 255/50/17. Anyone out there running 255/50/17 tire and have pics?

I am debating between 255/45/17's and a 255/50's for the rear of my Nova. Any help and pics would be greatly appreciated?

45's 50's are very tall.

It seems everyone runs 45's just curious what the 50's would look like. Never really seen any installed on anything. Just dont want to have too little a sidewall in the rear...

255/50/17's were standard equipment on the 94-96 Impala SS. Check out one of their forums.
FWIW,those tires are 27" tall and should work fine on the rear of your Nova.

Put me in the "too tall" camp. Didn't the old IROC-Zs come with 245/50/16s?

The extra inch of height you'll gain with the 17s on the smaller Nova mandates a 45 series IMHO.

Thanks for your .02 man.... I think I finally decided on some BFG 255/45/17 Rear and some 235/45/17 Fronts. I think your right in that it might look out of place and really too big for the car w/ the 17" rim....

My truck is running 255/50's in front and 275/50's in back...

No problems with bent rims with the taller sidewall. The 50 series tire is 27" tall. 1" bigger on the diameter then the 45 series.
