need Roll cage pics

I am planning to put a 6 point roll bar in my '68 Camaro soon. I plan to remove the back seat and have a trunk firewall made. The back seat is not very useful, and would probably be a safety issue with the cage. The thing is that I don't want the interior to look like a race car. I'd like everything in the rear area to have a clean, finished look. Kind of like the sick fish 'cuda below. Does anybody have pics of something similar that you've done with you car?

i would say leave the back seat. its not that heavy and looks better then most mods to remove one.

check out Streetfighter Steves 68 Camaro. It has a real nice side bar in it. My only other suggestion is to have the rear bars conture the foof line. Makes a world of difference with visability.

Leaving the back seat in the car would keep the car looking more stock inside for sure. I'm not concerned about the weight of the seat, but if I decide to keep it I will have to drop a fair amount of money having it Re-covered with black leather to match my front recaro seats. The vinyl is in good shape, but doesn't really match. Another reason that I would like to lose the rear seat would be to free up some room for some speakers. I would rather have room in the trunk for my fuel cell or even a spare tire. More pics please!

nice cage , definately not street friendly . That is a drag car right ? did you smooth the welds ? how will sunvisors work ? I assume this is now a 2 seater

...And I hope you realise that no sanctioning body will let you run a cage with smoothed welds, if, by their rules, you're required to run a cage.

thanks for the complement the car is not a drag car it is being built pro touring and i did smooth the weld but i did so w/o grinding the welds downi looks better for the shows. i have not yet got to the point of the sunvisors but i will figure something out also the back seat will be installed and functional.

Jamie, no organized racing venue (sanctioning body) will allow that cage to pass tech as a roll over protection device. Smoothing the welds down makes them impossible to inspect and therefore certify the cage. It looks nice though.

i do not plan too race the car on the track this is mainly a fun street car and show car . thanks for clearing that up for me . wasn't sure
