      T56 into a 71 Chevelle q

      Hey guys. Basic question here.

      Swapping a used t56 from a 95 camaro...
other than having the t56 rebuilt.

The guy is including the pedal. Hydraulics.
      Cross member.

Are these items useless to me goinf into my
      chevelle?
It depend on ls or bbc?

      thanks

LS or BB it does matter. I'm betting the 95 Camaro had a LT engine in it. (Could be wrong), First, if your using the early bell housing you will have to have a adapter plate to bolt onto your bell housing so the T56 will bolt up to that. That will cause the transmission to be farther to the rear by about 1/2". Then you will need to change the front input shaft in the transmission to a LS input shaft (this is because the LS input shaft is 1/2" longer than the LT.
That will take a special pilot busing in the end of the crank. A shorter drive shaft is in store also. (that you can have altered by a drive shaft shop) The trans mounts are going to sit farther back than the original also. So there's another hurdle. How do I know this... just ask me LOL. I've done this to my '68 Camaro. It was a pain to find all the right pieces but well worth it in the long run.
I also think there might be a bell housing for this setup. Not sure.
Craig Bowler on this site can probably help you with this for sure, its his field of expertise. Another thing is clutch linkage setup. Do you want to use the Hydraulic or mechanical .

I’m currently undecided about the engine
      At this moment.
      6spd I’m dead set on...

So back to my question. The man selling one
      Is tossing in those accessories.
Will those be useful for my car or no?

The housings n driveshafts etc. I know
      Need to do.

But a pedal. Hydrolic. Cross member...

Don’t wanna take these parts n be useless to me.

      Lastly,

      Another guy has two 6spds.

One from a ls car and the other from
      A lt1. With 900$ difference. N that’s his
Reasoning. The ls one is worth more...

Is that just a bell housing???
      Seems fishy

Its more than just a bellhousing that is different. I see you have multiple threads in different areas. Save yourself some time, headache and money by deciding your motor and work from there. If you don't you're pockets better be deeper than you expect because you'll end up spending money in other areas by not planning.

To put it the easiest way possible. The LS version can bolt up behind any of the older SB/BB engines and the new LS engines. The LT version was a unique set up that used a pull style clutch rather than push style and the input shaft has to be swapped to use it with most engines/bellhousings. If you can find a "good" deal on an LS based 6 speed I would buy that instead. You can plan on adding that $900 difference by the time you buy the parts and hassle of converting the LT one. And realistically if the parts included in the LT trans are 95 Camaro specific you likely will have a harder time making them work on your chevelle than just getting a Chevelle specific hydraulics kit and modifying your existing crossmember. I'm all for creativity and fabrication, but somethings just aren't worth it in the long run. (especially with the hydraulics set ups)

if you need a shifter I has two ..Tremec ( red one ) and .....? lmao I cant recall have to dig it out either way basically they're both the same.
btw tony at abcperformance.net sells a firewall bracket to use a F car hydraulic clutch set up . Which bolts to the firewall ( powder coated black ) or welds ( bare steel) . The stock cross member can be made to work with a T56. You will also need to cut up the majority of the transmission tunnel due to the much larger size of the T56 vs stock trans.

And Craig is right, I have about a thousand dollars converting my LT trans to work with my old style bellhousing behind a early small block chev. The reason I didn't go with a LS based 6 speed is a friend of mine owns a salvage yard in another town, he wanted a close ratio 4 speed which I had, I wanted a 6 speed which he had...we traded even up.Been happy ever since.
