What to do AFTER you finish your Project RestoMod?

I finished my 64 Corvette Restomod and then my 55 Nomad "Bruiser" and I am enjoying the crap out of them. BUT - I still have the bug to design and build MORE.

So - what does one do when the RestoMod itch keeps at you but you do not have an unlimited budget to keep building new RestoMods?

You comb the internet feverishly to look at what technology is out there and look at pictures of other RestoMods to satisfy yourself - well a little bit anyway.

I decided to start a Facebook Group called Restomod Central to have folks post their pictures of RestoMods and technologies they are incorporating into their rides. It is a way for me to keep my hobby going and to share with others.

Please feel free to join in.

Build, sort, sell. Build, sort, sell... I fund my next build by selling the previous one. I do my own work so my cars are never "under water".

You guys are so right - they are never done. The sell part may have to happen to fund the next one..... oh well.

Or you just build multiple projects at once, so they all get done then you don't need to sell one to build another!

But then of course, that might be why my builds are now taking me years to do, especially now that my parts lists are getting more extravagant.

In addition to my 71 Firebird, I'm also currently building a 63 Tbird, 58 Edsel, and doing an eternal V8 swap on my first vehicle, my 87 S10 Blazer. In addition to several more just "waiting".

I'm building the old goat with the ability to pull a 20ish foot travel trailer, run an autocross course or open road race (do not care if i come in dead last) and then take off for a year or two with my wife and see America.

Man I have a 66 GTO at one body shop, a 70 GTO at another body shop and a 72 TA on the lift needing brakes and interior. Being 'done' seems like a nice break!

Funny thing for you to post this up. I am just finishing up my current project and have already started thinking about the next conquest. Not that I have room or the money to build another car. But from the sounds of it, I like you love the build of it all.

I put a request to join your FB group. Will post up when I get in. Great idea!

I'm not quite done with mine yet, but I'm working on a CANbus body control system with programmable modules that sit at each corner of the car to add features and limit wiring complexity. Kind of like InfinityBox but A) not 2000 dollars and B) done the way -I- want it done. Thinking about making an OEM style LCD based automatic programmable climate control front end.

I'll be working on my 1976 Warlock next, but it's a much more basic/stock rebuild.
