Wife's new ride, not PT but pretty cool. Pics!

I haven't posted in a while and the last time I did post it started a bit of a pissing match. I got to the point with my 69 that I was totally frustrated with my progress, not being able to keep up with Jones'. I know what we do isn't a competition among us but some of you guys got some fat wallets and it was really getting me down that I couldn't do all the things that I wanted to do much less do it in the timeframe that some people can. Don't get me wrong, if you got it, enjoy it, I would if I could. Anywho, I was really considering selling my 69 and it pissed some guys off, one inparticular, but I guess fate stepped in and I spun a rod bearing. With the engine needing a tear down, crank, rod, piston and rebuild I figured it propbably wasn't going to bring too much cash so I still got it. With my car broke down and me being even more frustrated than ever I focused elsewhere and bought my wife a truck, but a really cool truck. I got a pretty good deal and what little money I've put in the truck it makes for a nice ride and I'm starting to gain some interest back in the 69. It turned out to be a nice break from the PT scene. So, here is a pic of my Girl's new pride and joy. Is that an angry looking grill or what?

Welcome back Chris. Cool truck too. Just so you know, I've been sitting on my car for at least two years, just waiting to get it going again. Being here and changing my mind and direction several times hasn't helped, but it's entertained me plenty. Anyway, welcome back and let us know what you have planned for the '69 when you get back to it.

Shut up Frank, you are one of the biggest problems. You got one of the baddest cars on here or anywhere else for that matter. Money means nothing to you because you got buckets of it pouring in. Just kidding man, I think you're great and if I lived in your area I would take out a 2nd mortgage just to leave my Camaro with you for a while.

That truck is awesome. Congrats. As far as the camaro, I understand. I just do what I can. My car was going to be a 5 year project and I've now had it 6 years with a ways to go!

Nice truck, I had a 58 Apache that I never got to fix up because of no money and now years later I am still working on my Camaro because it takes sooo much extra money that I don't always have. So don't worry about how long it will take you to finish it. Look on the bright side of it, now it is worth 2 to 3 times as much and when you get it done it will be worth more instead of less because of the popularity of P/T getting bigger everyday.

So let me think and remember about my truck? Flames look really cool on them, 2nd gen Camaro front subframes mount really easy to the front of them and they just plain look cool. Enjoy the truck and be glad you have someone to share it with.

so do nova front clips. (ours is running a 69 nova front clip. and a caddilac rear end. Fun project. treasure that visor. they are getting harder and harder to find.

If i had it to do all over again, I think we'd have gone with a fatman front end.

Love it! As far as the camaro, I am sure there are a lot of guys in here who share your predicament. No big deal. I am going on six years my self. I am thinking I will be done by next summer. Then again that is what I thought six years ago.

Sweet truck Chris! Took me 6 years to get the bird on the road in semi stock trim, no interior so I could drive it for the smmer then developed rod bearing noise in a engine that had been rebuilt "supposedly" before I bought it. At the start of year five it went from a "five year project" to a "20 year project" and the wife says kids clothes come before hot rod parts. Where do women got their priorities anyways? Welcome backe!
