      Nascar Style rear spoiler

Hey guys I'm teasing the of putting a nascar style rear spoiler on the comet but I was wondering how or what you guys are using as a hinge to the body or trunk. It will have the splitter style supports. any thoughts or pics showing the mounting of your rear spoilers!

      Thanks guys

I built one for my truck. Used an aluminum sheet and aluminum piano hinge with some aluminum turnbuckles.

Where are you guys getting the parts from to do this? Ive wanted to do for a long time, and it looks fairly simple to do.

Bring this back from a way back! How thick of aluminum should I go? 1/8 or 3/16?

3/16 would be getting a little heavier than it needs to be. With any given piece of metal, putting a little curve (s) into it can make it stiffer than a thicker part. The Camaro part still shown above (not on photobucket) is a good example of such.
